Bite Size Ice Cubes by Tom Jenkins
Today was fun. I ran a seminar for Create Solutions of Lancaster University on ‘Dealing with Web Designers’ for students starting up their own businesses. After climbing three flights of stairs and peering into the various rooms marked ‘No Unauthorised Personnel’ (we were in the Physics building) We covered the whole process: from thinking about why your business needs a website to adapting or creating a brand for the web to picking your web designer. We also looked at some of the common pitfalls and had a bit of Q&A

New look site by Tom Jenkins
It’s been a while, and while their hasn’t been any new work in the portfolio (though there are several projects in the pipeline; watch this space!) I really felt I needed to update the brand and polish it up. The site is even simpler than before, and though it will of course grow as needed, this is the way I hope to keep it :)

Wahoo! Ice Cube Web Design: Best Student Business 2008. That’s what the Student Friendly Business award panel in Lancaster reckon, anyway. I’m very happy to accept the award and would like to thank everyone at Lancaster University who has helped Ice Cube along the way (you know who you are), and the Create Panel for believing in the business. The site doesn’t seem to have been updated yet
